Evidence-informed peptides · Made in Australia

The dose,
printed in full.

Most serums name a peptide on the label without telling you how much is inside. We print the exact percentage of active in every formula — copper peptides and hyaluronic acid, properly concentrated and clearly stated. Suitable for all skin types.

Full disclosure

Most "peptide" serums won't tell you how much peptide they contain. We will.

The science library

Four molecules. Different levels of proof.

We separate human topical results from laboratory evidence, then show exactly how each finding informed our formulas. No ingredient gets promoted beyond the study that supports it.

Human topical + laboratory moderate evidence

A signal peptide with copper at its centre.

GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring tripeptide bound to copper. Laboratory studies connect it with extracellular-matrix signalling; small human topical studies report visible improvements in firmness, density and wrinkle appearance.

Signal

In fibroblast and skin models, GHK-Cu influences pathways associated with collagen, elastin and matrix turnover.

Topical result

Controlled cosmetic studies are encouraging, but smaller and older than the evidence base for established actives such as retinoids.

Our use

Face serums at 1% and 2%, plus a higher 3% leave-on scalp formula for concentrated copper-peptide care.

The clinical proof, in context

The result matters. So does the denominator.

Human appearance outcomes and experimental collagen measurements answer different questions. Here they stay separate, with the study size and timeframe attached.

67women in the facial study

Participants aged 50-59 had mild to advanced photodamage and used GHK-Cu cream against placebo.

12weeks, twice daily

Investigators reported improvements in visible laxity, clarity, firmness, density, thickness and wrinkle appearance.

7/10showed a procollagen response

In a separate one-month thigh-skin comparison. This was an experimental tissue endpoint, not a facial wrinkle result.

These studies support GHK-Cu as a cosmetic ingredient. They do not prove that 1%, 2% or 3% is superior, and they were not trials of Skincare Science Australia finished products.

Measured outcomes

The numbers behind copper peptides.

55.8%

Less visible wrinkle volume

In an 8-week study, GHK-Cu reduced measured wrinkle volume by 55.8% versus a control serum — visibly smoother-looking skin, backed by science.

25.4×

More Collagen IV

In fibroblast (skin-cell) testing, GHK-Cu paired with low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid raised Collagen IV by 25.4× — deep hydration meeting real structural support.

25%

Built more collagen

In head-to-head testing, GHK-Cu raised collagen more reliably than vitamin C or retinoic acid. Copper is the very cofactor skin uses to cross-link and strengthen new collagen — firmer, denser structure, not just surface glow.

+28%

Denser collagen in 12 weeks

Ultrasound measured a 28% average rise in collagen density over three months — climbing to +51% in the strongest responders. Real, measurable firmness deep in the skin, not just a smoother surface.

Figures are drawn from published GHK-Cu ingredient and laboratory studies at the concentrations and vehicles described in those papers. They support copper peptides as a cosmetic active; they are not trials of Skincare Science Australia finished products, and individual results vary.

How the evidence becomes a formula.

The concentration is always printed in full. The language below describes the intended cosmetic role of each formula, while the study details above show exactly what has and has not been measured.

1% PDRN

PDRN + DMSO renewal serum

DMSO is included as a delivery-focused solvent in a minimal leave-on system, selected to help overcome the skin barrier challenge faced by larger PDRN fragments.

Designed to improve the look of: periocular lines, firmness, smoothness and visibly tired skin. The cited human data used 0.1% PDRN in a different vehicle.

5% SNAP-8

Expression-line concentrate

A targeted octapeptide formula for areas where repeated movement makes lines look more pronounced, particularly the forehead and outer eye area.

Designed to improve the look of: dynamic lines and surface smoothness over consistent twice-daily use. It is a cosmetic topical, not an injectable analogue.

3% GHK-Cu

High-strength scalp serum

Our highest disclosed copper-peptide concentration, built for direct leave-on application without oils or heavy styling residue.

Designed to support: a hydrated, well-conditioned scalp environment and fuller-, healthier-looking hair. Human evidence for GHK-Cu alone on scalp remains preliminary.

Important contextPublished figures relate to the specific ingredients, molecular weights, vehicles and study products described in the linked papers. They are not trials of Skincare Science Australia finished products and are not promises of individual results. Cosmetic benefits describe visible appearance and skin feel.
The science

GHK-Cu, drawn honestly.

GHK is a tripeptide — three amino acids, glycine, histidine and lysine, joined by peptide bonds. In GHK-Cu, a copper ion sits coordinated to three of its nitrogen atoms: the N-terminal amine, the amide nitrogen, and the imidazole ring of histidine. It's the same molecule drifting across this page.

A well-known copper peptide in modern skincare, chosen for the way it leaves skin looking and feeling. The Cu is copper — that's where the name, and the blue of the bottle, come from. We simply tell you exactly how much we use.

Our story

Made by a biochemist who was tired of guessing.

Skincare Science Australia started with a simple frustration: shelves full of copper-peptide serums that name-drop an active on the label but never tell you how much is actually inside. Too many are mass-produced offshore, quietly under-dosed to protect margins, and wrapped in claims no one can verify.

So our founder — an Australian biochemist — did the obvious thing most of the market avoids: formulate at concentrations that reflect the actual research, and print the exact percentage on every bottle. 2% GHK-Cu is 2% GHK-Cu. 1% is 1%. No proprietary-blend hand-waving, no mystery dosing.

Every batch is formulated and made in Australia with pharmaceutical-grade copper tripeptide-1 and hyaluronic acid — and nothing you don't need. It's skincare built the way a scientist would want to buy it: honest doses, clean ingredients, and the evidence laid out so you can decide for yourself.

  • Australian made — formulated and bottled locally, in small batches.
  • Properly dosed — clinically-informed concentrations, printed in full.
  • Transparent — full ingredient list and real percentages, no filler claims.
